So
- I shall put down the toilet seat when I'm done, even if it's just my own bathroom that only I use. That flat surface makes a nice place to put your clothes when you're showering.
- I shall drive slower. To be honest they should take into account the fact that me driving 80 in a 60 zone with all attention of the road have a quicker reaction time to someone driving 40 with the radio going, their phone plastered to the side of their head and furiously, yet futilly, attempting to drive with the remaining arm, as the fingers are engaged in the chore of preventing cigarette ash from going everywhere... Maybe they need image recognition software on those speed fine cameras...
- I shall make more friends and actually spend time with them. Lately my social circle has diminished considerably due to long work hours and me not going out much... I guess this can be accredited to my new PC, which is great fun for me and my ladylove, but not for anyone else who happen to be at my house at the time...
- I shall be willing to pay for movies and music. It really is true that nothing beats the big screen. Camcorder-movies, as we call them, are never even close to as spectacular as the real thing. There is the small exception of my taste in music. Metal is very hard to come by in South Africa. But if I actually pay for it and have it shipped over (from within the correct distribution zone) I will cherish it much more and enjoy the experience longer.
- I shall spend less money on crap. Excluding the subwoofer to complete my home theatre entertainment setup thingie, I'm going to try and save as much money as possible and pump it into getting my car paid sooner. The less interest the better.
- I shall get my band going, even if it's just 3 member with regular practices, it's more than what we have now. We watched the Lamb of God DVD Killadelphia. I would give almost anything to have that. To go onto stage and play MY music in front of people who are actually there to hear it. I don't care if it's 10 people or 10 thousand people. As long as I can express my creative vision and find others who like the same thing.
I especially like resolution number 2 ;-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with sticking to them... I didn't make any of them for this year. Just going to take things as they come!
