Does size really matter
So here's the issue. Should I buy a nice compact, mobile laptop that can't play a single game to save its life, or should I buy a desktop PC that can do everything but is confined to a corner (note: the entire corner) of my bedroom?I've always tried to organise myself. When I was studying and we did mobile computing, I invested in a Pocket PC. This one:
The problem with this is that is had no wireless capability, limiting its uses as soon as celphone bluetooth became the norm. The calender and contacts were very nice, but I struggled to keep my pocketPC and my phone updated.
Then I bought a Motorola V3 RAZR. This one:
This worked perfectly because everything was on one device. What I lost though was the ablility to program my own utilities and the ability to type full letters/blogs/e-mails. SMS-style takes a loooong time and the phone eventually becomes very slow.
So I started keeping my calender and other notes on a pocketMOD. This one:
Yes, I realise it's a piece of paper. That's the point. I can scribble all over it. Problem is the fact that I can scribble all over it. I inevitably forget where I wrote something.
I'm currently saving up for and planning to buy a PC. The question is: Will the ability to have it in the car mean that I can use it to organise all my stuff? Bonus is that I can do other stuff like take anime to Nikky's house and go watch there. At this point we always sit at my house and it gets a little boring.
So the big question: Mobile and organised/connected/infinite space to type/write versus gaming.
I'm really starting to wonder...
